So what do I actually do all day? I learn English. After all, that's why I'm here. I've even started writing to Evi in English. But it's not easy without Google Translate. But I'm trying. In the afternoon, I don't have any classes, so I often take the bus or walk to take pictures of the landscape and the animals. The family is sometimes amazed when I tell them what I did in the afternoon, especially if they know the routes. One afternoon, I walked around a lake. A 10 km long route. In the evening, I spend time with my host family (here the host parents)
Homework, I eat dinner with them and then it's back to studying. So my day is pretty busy with 4 hours of school, up to 5 hours of outings, up to 4 hours of studying, and the rest of the time spent with family and sleeping. Well, sometimes I also use the time from the outings to talk to passers-by, but also to relax and enjoy myself. I probably don't need to go into more detail about school and studying. But I have to say this: I'm reading the Bible, not one chapter after another this time, but I have a Bible that has the text in German on the left and the same text in English right next to it. So I can compare verse by verse and learn at the same time. It's a great thing.
And what do I see during my outings? Now that I have a monthly subscription, it's much easier. I can just get on the bus and get off somewhere. With the app, I can even find the departure times so that the bus doesn't drive away right in front of me and I have to wait.
Here are some pictures I took in the last few days. They're not in chronological order, but mixed up.
