Last week, I took a trip to Laguna del Inca in Portillo with Ignacio. Laguna del Inca is a lake located in the Andes, very close to the Argentine border and at an altitude of almost 3000m. Therefore, it's not surprising that when we arrived at the top by car, it was only 5 degrees Celsius. Unfortunately, we also had bad luck with the weather, as it rained and hailed most of the time - for the first time since I've been in Chile.
After taking some beautiful pictures, we went inside the Hotel Portillo and watched a classical concert of the Portillo International Music Festival. The concert featured two violins, a viola, and a cello. I have to admit that the concert felt very long to me, lasting over an hour, and I almost fell asleep. Nevertheless, the musicians were of course very talented and didn't make any mistakes.
Another thing I really enjoyed was our way back. As the sun was setting, we drove down almost 2000 meters through the winding roads between the mountains and had a beautiful view.
Originally, we had planned to go kayaking in Laguna del Inca on that day. However, we arrived at the wrong time, as it only takes place twice a day, so we unfortunately had to give up on that.
