Amsterdam

An eagerly awaited event is coming up in the next few days. Before the pandemic, we planned to go to a concert in Amsterdam with our friends. Finally, there is a rescheduled date and we are heading towards Amsterdam. We stop for a night at Recreatiepark 't Zand just behind the border in the Netherlands, after crossing the entire Belgium. The park is located in a huge forest adjacent to a lake. Rocky enjoys the cool water as it is an extremely humid day. The next morning, we continue to Camping Zeeburg in Amsterdam. Thank goodness we have already reserved a spot for months, as spontaneous arrivals are virtually impossible here. Upon arrival, we are greeted by Easy, Mogli, Hendrik, and Emma. The 4 of them have been exploring Amsterdam for a few days. On the day of the concert, Erwin and Mariechen join us. Thus, the gang is complete for the concert and it is an amazing evening. A big thanks to Mogli for taking care of Rocky and Emma on this night! Otherwise, it wouldn't be possible for us to go to a concert. We enjoy the unfortunately few days together and after 3 nights, we move to Camping de Badhoeve on the outskirts of Amsterdam in the middle of nowhere by the water. We are lucky to be able to stand right by the water. The campsite is busy and there is even live singing and celebrating until the early morning hours. We use the few days to drive from there to the probably largest camping store in Europe - Obelink. A paradise for every camper. There is a lot of unnecessary stuff there and we have to restrain ourselves from spending unnecessary money. Then we spend an afternoon strolling through the city center of Amsterdam. On the last evening there, something unpleasant happens and a lady who apparently celebrated too much vomits several times right next to Polly.
