Everything different or not

It's like always: backpack, airport, waiting, but this time it's somehow different than the last few times. Australia is almost like coming home, well almost, I couldn't think of a better comparison🫢 and Yannik isn't with us this time, which means 4 out of 5 are there.

This time, the planning was done by someone else, controlled by someone else… strange feeling.

This time we're not going down under but to Namibia, Africa, an old German colony. That's something different, no time difference but still 18 hours on the road.

German colony, as that sounds… well, we won’t pass as locals, even without sun protection 😩

Everything will work out well with the car with the lodges. I was in Africa Kenya once before, what feels like 50 years ago, but back then it was a vacation in a bunker, cut off from the outside world. But it still impressed me. The nature, the animals, the adventure, that's the reason for the trip.

The flight is already delayed 🫢 things are off to a good start.

Why the easy way when you can take the complicated route from Düsseldorf via Zurich to Frankfurt a/M? At some point you will head towards the equator in the southern hemisphere.
