Eating with a real Maya

On Monday (13.01.2017) we worked again in the morning on the plantation and cleaned the jackfruit trees (e.g. with a machete around the trees, removing the creepers and other plants) and then harvested more jackfruits. For lunch, we were invited to an old Maya woman from the village, who only speaks Maya (no Spanish) and baked handmade tortillas for us in her hut 😀 served with homemade bean puree.

Simply awesome - I believe you only experience something like this once in a lifetime 😍
