The night was quiet except for the pounding rain. Jule woke up shortly after 7, but steamed until around 8. The sun was shining again, we had to take advantage of that. After breakfast, we set off by bike to Cape Arkona. Only 7 km from here, should be doable. The plan is to wear out the grandchild. Unfortunately, the journey there was just complaining, 'I can't go on', 'I'm hungry', 'thirsty', etc. Through persuasion and bribery (there's ice cream up ahead), we finally made it to Vitt. Just before the destination, there was a wonderful view of Cape Arkona. Sweet little fishing beach with stones. We had ice cream and fish sandwiches. The sky darkened. Mom insisted on heading back. Good timing. Just before the campsite, thunderstorm number 1 for today came. Heavy rainfall at its finest. It didn't matter, we were already ready for a nap. While Philip watched an unpeducational movie, the rest of us slept. Then the sun came out again. Quickly take advantage of it for a trip to the beach, getting muddy, a quick dip until another dark cloud approached. Well, the other vacationers were still relaxed until suddenly another downpour came. We arrived at the caravan drenched. Then it really started. Pouring rain, hail, storm... Dad tried to save our awning, which was dangerously bending. Both kids were crying inside because it was not only extremely loud, but also lightning and thundering.
In the distance, you could hear sirens. Later, we could watch the fire department here, supporting bent trees. Of course, in bright sunshine... Strange weather here... We are now trying to dry our awning and hopefully the children will fall asleep soon. Mom has already chilled the sangria :)
