Rematch - new family

It would have been nice if something had worked right away... but for me, it's normal that it only works on the second try...

I've been with the family for a little over a week now and things have turned sour. I really thought this family was the right one for me, but unfortunately, I was wrong. The father is really nice and the kids are really cute and they already like me a lot. It's just the mother who is acting out. She yells at me, her children, and her husband and throws things at me, saying things like, 'I've never seen such a terrible au pair like you!' I really tried my best and made an effort to do everything right, but she didn't see that. She just kept nagging at me and believed that I was too slow and doing everything wrong. On top of that, I had to play their maid, which is not part of my duties. But they think it's more important than taking care of the children.

So yesterday evening, I talked to my host dad and he did ask if I wanted to give it another try, because he really likes me, but he also understood when I said that I don't want to, because it would not be good for me.

Today, I talked to my contact person and she said that usually you can't go on rematch so quickly to find a new family, but she's making an exception for me because I'm really not doing well and I really don't want to stay in this family anymore, because I'm already afraid of the mother.

Now I have to stay with the family for another two weeks and find a new one during that time. If I can't do that, I have to go home...

Let's hope everything goes smoothly and I find a new family. But it should work out, because for me, things usually go well on the second try :)

Right now, I'm in a shopping center to relax and digest everything :)
