Today I had planned to go on a little bike tour. I wanted to go from Frørup to Nyborg, about 14 km, take a look at the harbor, and definitely go to the pharmacy to get something for this annoying cough. If I feel like it, I'll cycle to the bridge that I can see from the campsite. That's the plan.
In the late morning, I started cycling. Alongside the highway, beautiful landscapes, and always along the sea. Eventually, I arrived in Nyborg. I wandered through the city center and then went to the pharmacy. I went in and stood at the end of the line. Then I noticed, oh, here I have to take a number from the ticket machine (apparently that makes sense in a city with around 17,000 inhabitants). At least I came out with some cough syrup, goal achieved. From there, I went to the harbor and lay down on a wooden bench, drank my cold cola, and looked out at the water until suddenly someone warmly greeted me. The Saxon couple next to me from the campsite. Suddenly, she sat down next to me on the bench and asked if she could address me informally (the woman is 60 and asks me, somehow sweet) Üwe and Rämona. Then we decided to continue together and take a closer look at the bridge. our navigation system Uwe led us through some very strange paths, if you could even call them paths. Eventually, we arrived there and it was amazing. After that, we went to the lighthouse, almost through the cow pasture. We continued under the bridge towards the supermarket. The navigation system called Uwe then led us straight through the Viking festival up on the hill... haha. After a short time and questioning looks from the stands of the oddly dressed people, we found our way out of there. Now back home and we rode the great route over bumpy terrain. The highlight was almost at the end, I rode down the 'hill' at almost 60 km/h. It was crazy and cool. After about 6 hours and 48 km of cycling, I was back at the motorhome. I am totally exhausted but it was so much fun. Even though I sometimes don't understand Ramona and Uwe, they are both very nice and we had a great day together.
I think I will fall asleep soon and hopefully sleep through the attacks of the killer moths on my motorhome.
Yesterday, I put AirPods in my ears and played the sound very loudly. My ears almost fell off but it was better than hearing bugs.
Tomorrow morning, I will continue to Copenhagen. The weather is supposed to be bad (rain) anyway, so I can move on.
