Diving at the Catalina Islands (6.5.22)

Dive day!

0545 wake up, 0615 pick up at the hotel, 40 minutes drive to the briefing and equipment check, then off to the beach and load the boat...

After 25 minutes, we arrive at Dive Spot Catalina Islands around 0900.

Our guides are Remo and Franko, there are a total of 12 men/women on board.

Dive at 29 degrees water temperature, slight current and average visibility with dive buddies Melanie, Stefanie, and Franko as the guide. During the first dive, we encounter several whitetip reef sharks right in front of us, some moray eels and octopuses 🐙, and various large schools of fish.

We spend a total of 62 minutes on the first dive and 65 minutes on the second dive, with depths ranging from 21 to 8 meters.

The debriefing is brief and after 2 dives, we head back to Tamarindo in the 8-seater, ending the diving trip around 1330.

In the afternoon, Claudia has some free time for shopping, and in the evening, we go for dinner at the beautiful Mercadito - an open marketplace with food stalls.
