It's still dark as I leave the small town, or rather the 4 houses including the hostel, behind me. It's dry and the sky looks like it's going to be a beautiful day.
After just a few hundred meters, I leave the road and enter the same beautiful heath landscape as yesterday, but this time on the Camino with well-built paths.
And there's the spectacular sunrise again,.........
The hiking is going well and I make good progress, but I don't really want to rush.
In the distance, I can hear gunshots. Autumn is hunting season, luckily in the distance. I think of the funny saying by Otto Walkes: 'When the rifles crack in autumn, hares have nothing to laugh about.........', well I'm not a hare, but I'm still a bit uneasy. Shortly afterwards, a few hunters come towards me in their off-road vehicles, their hunting dogs howling in the trailer.
A little later, I see a yellow arrow by the roadside, which is unusual for Galicia, because so far I have only seen the monoliths, and secondly, the arrow points exactly in the direction I just came from?????? The answer is quickly found when 2 mountain bikers wave at me. Oh yes, today is Sunday, and in Spain it means: 'Ready, set, go' on the bikes.
And for those who are not hunting or sitting in the bicycle saddle, they still have their chainsaw, to hell with Sunday rest. And some neighbors feel inspired to join in with the sound of the engine and start their chainsaw too. Testosterone has to go somewhere. ------ End of silence for today.
And now, for a change, a little picture puzzle. In the collage you can see some types of mushrooms.------ How did I decide? The next two pictures provide the answer. Tested multiple times, very tasty, hardly any side effects and quickly available... clearly spoke in favor of my choice.
