From Sydney to Goulburn 31.10.2018

Today we unfortunately have to leave Sydney again. We really liked it here.

But now we have another great tour ahead. We are driving with the camper van along the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne. We arrived at the motorhome station at 10:00 a.m. by taxi, our luggage keeps increasing. By the time we had filled out all the forms, including everything for the toll fees in Sydney and Melbourne etc .... it was 11:30 a.m. when we were able to leave. Our destination was Goulburn, about 255 km away, it was slow going as we had to go over a pass. There was still a lot of traffic in Sydney, but it decreased the further we got away. Along the way, there were several lookouts with a great view of the Pacific. The area became very hilly and green, lush green, it was a beautiful sight. Many herds of cattle and now we also saw our first herd of sheep. The settlements often have brick houses, whereas before they were mostly wooden houses built on stilts about 1 - 1.5 meters high. The campsites are not as densely populated in the inland. We found a nice one, most of the spots are rented to permanent campers or men who are here during the week for work. In contrast to Sydney, it is very quiet and cozy again.
