Come & Go

Hooray! After being able to watch the mountains around us gradually turn white at the end of last week, the snow also arrived with us on Monday :) The dogs were very excited and we gladly let ourselves be infected by the energy of the teams, especially since the winter landscape was really impressive. And after last week's continuously cold and especially wet weather, a welcome change! Regina and Björn were in Germany over the weekend, and besides entertaining 12 scout children, we were fortunately able to avoid the rain in front of the fireplace ;) Unfortunately, this pleasantly quiet weekend was overshadowed by a surprising death yesterday. One of the older female dogs had a stroke and despite our quick drive to the nearest veterinary practice, the dear mouse had to be put to sleep directly. That affected everyone deeply, but unfortunately it is part of it.
Today's perfect weather, however, was able to brighten the mood again and so everyone enjoyed the training. The snow had almost completely disappeared, but it remained chilly - optimal conditions for the dogs! Advantage of energetic animals: fast teams and beautiful shots. Disadvantage: 2 fights and 4 injured animals by noon, who may have to suspend training for the time being. Consensus at the lunch table: in order to get all the dogs and trainers to the tour season as unharmed as possible, new structures are urgently needed! This will now be the task of the next few days, because the current situation is obviously too tense and risky. But for now, we are lying in wait, because the weak clouds have held up until the evening and now we hope for some Northern Lights... if we are lucky, you will definitely see that :) So, keep your fingers crossed!

P.S .: Many thanks to my dear friend Christian Wolf for making the photos beautiful and uploading them, you save me a lot of time and nerves! :D :*
