Tag 6/29 - Swellendam

We had thrown our plans for Swellendam and the surrounding area overboard due to the temperatures today of up to 39 degrees 🥵 and our broken air conditioning in the car. We will stay overnight in Swellendam again on the way back from the Garden Route to Stellenbosch. Maybe we can do one or two things from our list.
So today was just a relaxing day in our accommodation and mainly in the pool 💦 It was great to endure.
The animals here bring Anni a lot of joy 🐓🐑🫏. Today we were able to watch a chicken laying eggs just one meter away from us. Man, that was cool 🤩. A bat landed directly on our terrace earlier. The chickens run across the lawn next to Anni and the donkeys and sheep keep running past our terrace. Really idyllic here ☺️
And what we had completely forgotten... Leo got his first two teeth in the last 3 days 🦷
Then today we got new neighbors, with children as old as Leo and Anni. We exchanged a few South Africa tips and the big kids played great together ☺️
Tomorrow we'll head back to Knysna at a pleasant 25-28 degrees. We'll stay there until Thursday until we go on our safari weekend 🐘🦒🦏🦓🦁🐒🦛
