A short drive takes us to Wellington today. We check in at the carpark for our overnight stay at noon. From there, we take a bus along the coast to the city. We visit the 'Te Papa Museum' to learn more about New Zealand and the Maori. We were particularly impressed by the exhibits on World War I and the approximately 4m tall soldiers. They looked incredibly real and their emotions were palpable.
Afterwards, we stroll through the beautiful city and Thomas visits the 'Höörlidieb' after a long time. Finally, we enjoy the holiday atmosphere by the sea with an ice cream.
Dinner is prepared at the carpark. Despite the location, a fabulous 3-course menu is served. The atmosphere and the view of the harbor are unexpectedly peaceful.
