Muscat in Oman

የታተመ: 04.03.2019

We arrived in Muscat in the morning. We had already bought a ticket for the Hop-on-Hop-Off bus beforehand. However, we had to wait for half an hour before we could start. It was almost too windy up there to even open our eyes. Jakob and Alex went downstairs because of that, while I stayed up to take photos. It wasn't easy because it was really beautiful and a completely different landscape. Brown sandy mountains, small white box houses, colorful domes of the mosques. On top of the mountain, a huge incense burner was blowing its smoke into the surrounding houses. Women in burkas and men in long white robes. We got off at the souk and bought our annual Christmas ball for 2018. Nuts and dates, small oriental lamps, saffron and other spices, leather goods and Aladdin shoes. You couldn't get enough of the view. "Jaaaakoooob" rang out from behind. It was a waitress from the restaurant, Jakob's favorite friend on the ship. It was really cold today at 26 degrees, that's why she was wearing a fur cap. Really, I was freezing too. I wonder how it will be in Germany?

And so, a beautiful day in Oman came to an end. Maybe we'll come back.
