2022-May-Bordeaux

Bordeaux is beautiful! From a German perspective, the city is not within our reach. But I can only recommend visiting this charming place for a few days. There are many reasons to visit: First of all, Bordeaux has a wonderfully enclosed and large old town. But there are also classical magnificent buildings to admire.

In addition, the city is beautifully located on the Garonne River and is not far from the Atlantic Ocean. What could be better than a trip to or on the water.

And now, perhaps the main argument for some of you: the eponymous and well-known red wine comes from this region! We didn't take a tour of the wine-growing areas, but we visited the Cite du Vin. This is a very modern, interactive museum dedicated to wine. You can find a report on it under the keyword 'Das moderne Bordeaux'.

But of course, it's up to you whether you want to visit some of the 3,000 château vineyards. We have planned to do that on our next visit to this region.
