We have driven a few more kilometers towards Melbourne. It started raining this morning, but it seems to be clearing up gradually. The place where we have found a motel is called Bermagui and it is located at the beginning of the Emerald Coast. You can see from the photos taken on the road and from here that the weather today is very poor. However, it is not cold, but fortunately not humid. The last picture shows the view from our balcony.
Today we had to refuel for the first time (with the new car). But at the gas station, I didn't know which type of fuel we needed. I had been thinking all along that we had a diesel. But the fuel nozzle was too big. It wasn't mentioned in the car documents either. The fuel cap also didn't provide clarity. So I went to the cashier and expressed my uncertainty. The nice lady then called the rental company, and now we know: we are not driving a diesel, but a gasoline car and we need regular unleaded gasoline (95 octane). In Australia, diesel is the most expensive type of fuel. Our gasoline costs between 0.90 and 1 Euro here! Diesel is about 1.05 Euro. These are slightly different prices compared to ours.
