The alarm clock rang at 5 o'clock today because all the information suggests that it is really important to be at the dunes very early in the morning and the journey takes about 1.5 hours.
The tips were good, the light even better, we have reached everything very well and also walked a bit on the dunes and on the large clay plates that form when it rains every 7 years and the water collects at certain points…
On the way back, we were able to see a few meters into the Sessriem Canyon, but we couldn't continue walking because murky water puddles of unknown content blocked the way…
We should also mention the sighting of a fully grown giraffe right in front of our eyes, according to all travel guides there are hardly any in this area....and also the fine evening walk alone through Africa on a 5 km trail near the lodge...
