Today we went from Edson to the southern part of Alberta east of Banff National Park. Since we chose the route via Highway 93, which runs right through Jasper and Banff National Parks, we drove through the stunning landscape of the Rockies 😃.
We spent our lunch break at the Columbia Icefield and hiked to the foot of the Athabasca Glacier. In 1935, it was located almost right next to the highway - today, you have to walk for about 30 minutes to reach the glacier - thanks to climate change 💥!
