19.8.22 - From Mariposa via Santa Cruz to Frisco

Here too, I have to upload the pictures later because I don't have Wi-Fi at the hotel.
I left Mariposa at 9:30 this morning and drove straight to the West Coast towards Santa Cruz, below San Francisco. I really wanted to see Shark Fin Cove, a rock in the Pacific Ocean that looks like a shark fin. It took me about three and a half hours to get there, and I arrived at 1:00 pm. There wasn't much going on at this little beach. Some young people were having a picnic there. An older lady, a painter, was painting the rock, and I was able to take a photo of her. I have the impression that the people who live here are somewhat more relaxed. Afterward, I went to a stall near the sea to eat fish. 😋
That was also a temperature change today. I left Mariposa in the morning at a humid 34°C, and when I arrived at the coast, it was only 18-20°C and windy. I had to put on a jacket.
From there, I drove for about an hour and a half until I finally arrived at the hotel in San Francisco. There are quite a number of homeless people on the street. Mark had already warned me. But I am still very surprised at how many there are here.
Now I have eaten something small and will go to bed early.
