October 24th - October 28th, 2023 Return home from Venice via Meran, the Timmelsjoch and Isny to Bobritzsch

October 24th, 2023 I'm the first to sneak out of the women's dormitory early, have breakfast and read extensively. At around 11 a.m. the ship comes to life and the first conversations begin. The sun has now come out and we can go onto the sun deck. Greek rhythms can be heard and some women spontaneously dance to them. So it will be a nice day too. Dinner in the restaurant as the backpack is no longer useful. Sleeping with the ladies again.

October 25th, 2023 7 a.m. Arrival in Venice in thick fog. Farewell and everyone goes their own way. We quickly got off the ferry and onto the highway. I'm driving to Merano. The sun has now come out and I am enjoying strolling through the town. In the afternoon I head for a campsite and go to the indoor and outdoor pool. After a pizza with delicious wine, I fall asleep contentedly. Tomorrow we'll go to the mountains. 13674 km

October 26th - 28th, 2023 Nothing is wrong with the mountains. Weather worsening with heavy fog extending into the mountains. So I break up my tents and drive over the Timmelsjoch to Isny. Here I meet my daughter and family. We spend another day together and the following Saturday we go to Bobritzsch with the grandchildren. I arrive home again after 8 weeks at around 5 p.m. 14529 km
