After our arrival in Ahlbeck, the primary destination of our tour, we continued on to Zempin, where we had booked a vacation resort by the Achterwasser for two days. Naturally, we took a swim in the Baltic Sea on the day of our arrival. The next day, we took a small tour through the western part of Usedom. Our next destination was Greifswald, which we reached just before the announced change in weather. In the afternoon and evening, it poured heavily, and we struggled to find a place in a small pizzeria to avoid going to bed hungry. The next day, we travelled to Stralsund by train, as the only possible route was 17 km of cobblestone and ran parallel to a busy federal road. We wanted to avoid this. In Stralsund, we were greeted by a strong thunderstorm with heavy rain, so we had to wait for a while on the platform to not get completely soaked on our way to the hotel. Around noon, the promised improvement finally came, and the cloud cover slowly cleared, so after a short lunch break at the hotel, we took a small bike ride on the island of Rügen. The next day, we took the train back to Cologne – this time without any complications.
