Australian birdlife

What I find most fascinating here are the birds. Like the ibises that run around the city, there are bush chickens everywhere, cockatoos also fly around everywhere and make a lot of noise, and the bird in the picture. This is laughing Hans, here his name is Kookaburra. If you google it, you'll hear his voice and you'll know why he's called "laughing Hans".

Since the sun sets very early here, I went back to my accommodation in the dark today and saw something big flying around in front of my accommodation, it didn't look like a bird - it was bats or flying foxes (they were quite big).
