15.11.2019 Medellin Pablo Escobar

የታተመ: 16.11.2019

My fever is finally gone and I'm ready to explore Medellin again. Let's start at quarter past ten for the Pablo Escobar tour. We'll pass by his family's house, which was blown up just 5 months ago, and up to the house where he was possibly shot on the roof in 1993. Possibly, because he might have also committed suicide. Some voices even claim that he is still alive.. Funny info by the way: the Pablo Escobar tours are prohibited in Medellin. We're just doing a nice city tour. The tour also includes a visit to Comuna 13, which used to be a real war zone during Pablo's time and was off-limits for foreigners for years. There's no trace of that here today. Comuna 13 is an art district. High-quality graffiti is painted on the walls everywhere, artists offer their art on the street or in their shops, young people perform dance choreographies at their best and you can always hear music somewhere. There has even been an escalator installed in the neighborhood since 2011. After about 1.5 hours in Comuna 13, we'll go to a viewpoint on the outskirts of the city, which also marks the end of the tour.
