I was in an old Sultan Palace & on the worst beach in the world, although it is actually a super beautiful beach. I only looked at the two famous temples from afar & from above. They are super arrogant here & charge tourists 10 times the entrance fee that a local would pay. Unfortunately, I couldn't hike up Mount Merapi, it has been so active for a few years and apparently super dangerous that no one is allowed closer than 5km to the crater. I could have taken a super expensive jeep tour through the lava landscape, but I didn't want to.
