Brisbane

To get an overview of the polarizing and forever young city of Brisbane and to learn a bit about it, we decided to take a sightseeing boat tour. A very good choice as it was 40°C without wind in the city on Thursday 5.12 🥵 so the breeze on board was just right!

After the interesting and beautiful boat trip, we explored the beach (a wonderful water lagoon) in the middle of the city in the Southbank district and spent the afternoon there. That was almost all we could do in this heat wave. The water was not cold, but it was refreshing.

Unfortunately, we only had 1 1/2 days in Brisbane. The city seemed really great and we would have liked to discover more - well, next time...

So, in the evening, it was time to pack our bags again and at 4:00 in the morning, we took an Uber to the airport. It was definitely too early even for the driver who is described as talkative, as he only exchanged maybe 3 words with us.
