On Wednesday morning we picked up our rental car and driving through the city went surprisingly well! So far, the windshield wipers have only gone on three times (it's not raining... - on our side, it's the turn signal)! Alex is doing a great job. After loading up, we immediately went to Bondi Beach. Since we were there very early, there were hardly any people. The waves were high and the water was very cold, so once again we only dipped our feet in. However, the kids had fun! From there, we continued south on the spectacular tourist route. We made a stop at Bald Hill and watched the paragliding beginners with amusement. The updraft was so strong that they were lifted into the air, even if they didn't want to... We also spotted beautiful blue-red parrots and many cockatoos! In Wollongong, we moved into our apartment for the next 4 nights. Yesterday, the kids built a sandcastle in the harbor and today they were finally able to swim. When the sun is shining, it's hot and the water temperature in Port Kembla was also pleasant, but the waves are very strong!!! Fortunately, there are lifeguards everywhere.
