11/03/2018 Trip to Arraial do Cabo and Cabo Frio

But first, breakfast with this view

Then we set off to Arraial do Cabo. The traffic is still a disaster here. Everyone is overtaking like crazy, motorcycles from left and right, oncoming bicycles, you name it.

Just before Arraial do Cabo, a huge traffic jam. We decide to turn around, like many others, because it's still about 5 km to the town and on Saturdays it seems like everyone wants to go there. We park at a long white beach with turquoise blue water and decide to stay here.

After an hour of lying on the beach, we are already getting restless and walk along the beach. It's not crowded here and the beach reminds us of South Africa.

On the street, you can buy fruit everywhere, the 🍍 pineapples smell incredibly intense and have a completely different shape than in Germany.

On the way back, we come without any traffic jam to Búzios and make a short stop at the Porto da Barra harbor.

There is one pub next to the other.

Back at our accommodation, first jump in the pool.

we walk into town to get something to eat.

I have never eaten such a bad schnitzel 🤦 The breading consists of breadcrumbs and garlic. Brazilians eat a lot of garlic, preferably with black beans. It smells like garlic everywhere here, but I haven't had such a bad meal before.

Then maybe the mosquitoes won't bite me 😋
