Our last stop in Malaysia was Melaka or Malaka or Malacca, oh I don't know everyone writes the small city differently. Melaka reminds me a little bit of Georgetown, old town and street art. It also looks a little bit like Venice so we are almost at home :) It is quite pleasant to stay by the river in the heat. There is a different cafe every 10 meters, which is transformed into a bar in the evening. Of course, they all advertise with their 'best' happy hour prices. Very good for us :) Ok, we thought it was a bit exaggerated when we went to a cafe for breakfast at 10:00 a.m. and the waiter first handed us the beer menu with the statement: Oh Miss Happy Hour every Day before 9 p.m. and look at our sign! Admittedly, the saying 'Save Water drink Beer' was very tempting, but first coffee. :) Strengthened, we then went along all the tourist spots. Past Chinese cars (bicycles with mega plush and extra loud music) with which you can take a city tour. You are driven by a at least 70-year-old grandpa who looks like he is about to fall off the bike. We feel sorry for him and go on foot. Along large churches, ruins, old buildings and beautiful street art, we walk through the old town completely. We spent the evening at the night market in Jonkerstreet, between great food and lots of knick-knacks. The senior karaoke there was also super funny, yes you read that right, everyone is allowed to go on stage and sing their song :) Some of them were actually good to listen to :) We have already arrived in Singapore and now we spend 2 days in a big city before we continue to Vietnam on Friday. Yayyyy :D Finally the sea again. :)
Cheers :)
