Hello Julie !!! 21-24.11

Tuesday 21.11

I wake up early, put on a pair of long jeans from the closet, and head to work. Julian and Khun Thai give me more information about Bosch ASEAN throughout the day, but also show me specifically what their work consists of. Unfortunately, I haven't received a laptop yet, so I work through various tables and reports.

After work, I go to Dirk's apartment to do some workouts in the gym. After showering, I head to Ratchathewi. Once there, I pick up Julie, whom I know from school, from her hostel.

We go eat at a street vendor and I tell her a few things about Bangkok.

After eating, we stroll through the streets and then go back to the hostel.

We chat with the Briton Luke over one (or two) cold beers. He has been traveling continuously for 18 months.

I say goodbye at 11 PM, I have to work tomorrow...

40 minutes later, I arrive at the apartment.

Wednesday 22.11

At work today, I am introduced to a larger number of employees and I make an effort to remember all their names.

I also meet a few more interns from Germany, and Julian and I have lunch together.

After work, I take the MRT directly to the Silom Station. From there, I walk towards Julie, who now stays at a different hostel.

We visit the questionable Silom Night Market together.

The market has just opened and most of the stalls are not yet set up. So we decide to get something to eat first. When we pass through the market for the second time, all the vendors are already ready to start selling.

Counterfeit branded goods, tasers, and dangerously sharp knives are offered to unsuspecting tourists at very high prices. We also take a look at Silom Road, which is known for its go-go and bar girls.

Here, girls can be selected as if from a menu. It's interesting but also very unusual to see something like that.

To end the evening in a cozy way, we have a beer at a regular bar and then go home.

Thursday 23.11

Today, I receive my laptop at the office and participate in a very interesting annual meeting.

Unfortunately, the laptop is not fully activated yet.

After work, I go to Dirk's apartment and go for a jog in Lumpini Park. After the workout, I spend some time in the pool and then go home.

Friday 24.11

The laptop is now activated... I receive my first tasks.

After work, I meet Julie at Asok Station.

After finding each other in the rush hour, we go to my apartment.

Julie will stay with me for the weekend :)

After dropping off her stuff, we go to a massage parlor and enjoy a nice massage.

We hang out by the pool for a while but go to bed early, as we have the Grand Palace on the agenda tomorrow.
