After two very relaxing days at the Sandsjöfors campsite, we were warmly bid farewell by the owners and headed to the Skullaryd Moose Park in Eksjö.
It is run by a very nice family and you are driven in trailers pulled by a tractor.
The moose park is located on an area of approximately 65 hectares (90 football fields). Beautiful and completely natural.
First we saw fallow deer. They are fed directly next to the vehicle, so they come very close, even the very small ones.
Then we moved on to the red deer and the moose. The moose also came running quite quickly, and you could see these big animals up close.
The age of the moose is not recognized by the size of the antlers like the red or fallow deer, but by the length of the beard. The longer and wider the beard, the older.
The red deer was much more shy than the moose, you could tell that they are fleeing animals.
One had a really cool hairstyle :)
Afterwards we went to Eksjö, which is a very beautiful old wooden town with very pretty houses.
Then we continued to the Spilhammars campsite in Mariannelund. We had a nice spot with a view of the lake.
Then there was a little scare. Richie had already said that day that he had to tighten the handbrake. We had to put wedges under our spot because it was so sloping. The handbrake was apparently not completely engaged and our RV suddenly rolled off the wedges. I was already afraid that our car would roll down the hill.....fortunately nothing happened and it quickly came to a stop.
