Halbzeit!

Here comes the new (this time on time) post! 😂

Where do I begin to tell....

First, I have to briefly mention what I realized this week. I've just been in America for almost half a year! Isn't that crazy? It's only just begun. How quickly time flies. 😅 

Then I did tell you about the conference we went to from Monday to Wednesday. This one was in southern Pennsylvania near the Maryland state border. Through this three day trip I was able to see quite a bit again on the trip. In addition, an XXL pizza box. 😂 At the conference, there were various workshops on a variety of topics that prepare for camps.

Among other things, you could also win small prizes and a grand prize. And here begins my guitar story.... 😂 I participated in all the raffles and won a book. Then, as a joke, I said to one of our employees, 'Well, now we win the guitar?'. I knew that the probability was not relatively high. Then, when the draw was made and a slip of paper was drawn, the reader had to stop. At that moment, I just thought, 'It can't be me now, why else would the reader stop and think how to pronounce the name?'. And sure enough - my name was read out! 😂 What kind of humor is that, please? The German girl wins the guitar. 😅 It is also so easy to transport this just across the Atlantic. 🤷🏼‍♀️ So I decided to keep the guitar for now and practice on it a bit. I already know a few chords, after all. After that, when I leave again, I will donate the guitar to the ranch. So many more can learn to play the guitar on it. ☺️

I liked the days very much! You had a break and saw something different. 

Yesterday we had 'skill development day' again. This is every Thursday afternoon. Last week we learned how to swing a lasso. Yesterday we helped fill a big bag of potatoes into smaller bags in the workshop. The potatoes were also a donation from someone in the area. They will then be distributed to the employee families. 🙃 

That was it again. So much doesn't happen in a week after all 😉 Well, at least you heard the guitar story. 😂
