This morning the view looks much better! The sun is shining - Jürgen says it's still freezing cold (next time he'll bring long underwear, no matter where!).
The sanitary facilities at the campsite are 'French' pragmatic. Uncomfortably cold, both the air and the water. We decide against showering, for the reasons mentioned above, and decide to stay in the camper instead.... Note: Make it uncomfortable for the guests, then the water bill won't be so high :) The best thing is the sound system in the sanitary facilities. A suitcase radio, attached to the ceiling with a string, playing 24 hours. Pragmatic French - nice! (Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture)
We drive, just to make some progress, on the highway to Perpignan (53 €), then along the coast on the Corniche to Spain. Just before the border, there's a sign saying that the road to Spain is closed. Great! Do we have to go all the way back? No, let's just drive now. If necessary, we'll drive back tomorrow. We are compensated with wonderful views of the steep coast, the sun is shining - exactly what we wanted!!!!
It's just difficult with the overnight parking spot. Either there are height restrictions, or nothing at all, or too close to the road. We drive to Llança, find a parking lot with a view of the sea and the sound of the sea. We'll stay here!
Otherwise, you can't do it, the towns are glued to the rocks and have little space, but in early February.... at the harbor bar, we have another Cerveza, or two....
