After a nap and several dazed states, we are still quite jet-lagged ... but no problem, because the tourist program still needs to wait - the doll still has work to do. Not a real surprise, but this time it's quite limited and quickly done. Then it's finally time for a late breakfast. Even though the weather forecast for today is not so good (rain is even announced), it's a beautiful summer day compared to the weather at home! By chance, we find a nice little café that can satisfy our manageable breakfast cravings. Why a ham and cheese croissant has to be flattened, however, is not clear to us. But it tastes delicious...and that's all that matters 👍!
What should we do with the rest of the day? We decide to take a walk to Darling Harbour, passing the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park. And why not watch some fish at Sydney Sealife? We are appropriately impressed by the underwater tunnels. However, there is almost a crisis! I like the rays so much that I would like to have one for home...but the doll doesn't want to buy me one! I don't want the plush toy version either, so the doll consoles me with a beer and a view of the harbor
It turned out to be surprisingly hot, so we need to freshen up before the evening program. Just as we arrive at the hotel, thunder rumbles and raindrops...well...about 5 raindrops. However, shortly after, when we are sitting at the sundowner, the sky opens its floodgates without warning! A truly Australian downpour....but it should provide some relief to the bushfire-stricken regions, so we also welcome the rain! Generally speaking, you don't notice much about the fires here in Sydney. But in almost every restaurant, pub and many shops, there are donation boxes. Some restaurants even organize charity events
