The past few days have been really hot (over 30 degrees). So I mainly visited air-conditioned shopping places. Today, I also took a trip to the local zoo. It is located in the north of the city, by the river. There is a beautiful riverside path from the central train station, passing by the University of South Australia.
A flyer informed me that the students of the hospitality school in Adelaide run a training restaurant in the zoo every Wednesday. Perfect for me, as I am unsure in the English language, and students assist in taking care of guests.
The most active creatures in the zoo were the visitors, who were looking out for the zoo animals. However, it was too hot even for them, so most of them rested in the shade.
