After a delicious muesli in the morning, we went back to the tourist information center to find out what we could do today. We were there so early that the employee wanted to have her yerba mate first. Since Heike had been wanting to try the Argentine national drink for a long time, she asked where she could buy it. The friendly employee offered Heike a cup. Heike enjoyed it while the rest of the family waited outside in the car.
After fifteen minutes, Heike returned in a good mood with information for the day.
So, we visited the sights in the town. One of them was the Regional Parliament, which was housed in an old villa. On the way to drive around and view the villa from all sides, there were some signs that kept saying the same thing, but we didn't understand. So, we stopped briefly to see what was written there. In the end, it said: Do not stop! So, we quickly continued. The sights we saw that day were all related to lakes and mountains. We lazily lounged on the beach while the kids took off their clothes and swam in their underwear in the lake. We really liked the landscape there. It all felt familiar, similar to Switzerland or Austria, but with a slightly different flair.
Then we went to the supermarket and took out the business card of the dusty laundry employee. We picked out some cuts of meat from the list.
When we arrived at our accommodation, we wanted to light the fire for the grill right away. Unfortunately, the landlady had started watering her lawn. The sprinklers were conveniently positioned, so all the firewood that was stored there got nicely soaked. So, lighting the fire was a bit more difficult than we thought. In the end, the kids collected enough kindling, so we could still have a barbecue. The meat was incredibly delicious, and we are looking forward to telling the dusty guy about it tomorrow.
