We wanted to enjoy the weekend in his spirit - with peace and coziness and only in the nearby area.
So we started our Saturday morning with a visit to the Farmers Market - Quite small, but with interesting offerings: From the guacamole stand to eggs, vegetables, homemade soaps and woven baskets... and then this gem: A GERMAN BAKERY!!!!! We immediately grabbed a loaf of gray bread for 6 dollars - yes, we really miss our good German bread very much!!!
Since this stroll ended very quickly, we strolled around a few corners of the well-known and renowned 3rd Street - Noble boutiques, upscale restaurants, upscale, upscale...
quickly into the car and off to the next cool mall only about 3 minutes away from our apartment: the Waterside Shops. Sounds pretty, is also really designed with many water features and palm trees, but also - who would have thought it - all noble, noble, noble - Gucci, Prada, Fendi, and all the others. For us, there was a Starbucks, where we fortified ourselves with a cold coffee :)
Window shopping is really exhausting!
Even the upscale fashion house 'Saks 5th Avenue' from New York, with a branch here on site, showed its concern about the terrorist attack in Orlando and kept an entire shop window in black.
After lunch and a nap, we simply went to the pool in the afternoon. Until it was time for dinner, :)
A little creativity also had to be let out.
On Sunday, we followed the same motto and started at the beach with extensive splashing and sand sifting.
In the process, we met a very nice woman with her 3.5-year-old son. She is an interior designer and jokingly admitted that her job is particularly fun here in Naples because this is where the money and people who want to spend it on beautiful things are - she is in high demand. We had already suspected something like that ;)
She gave us some tips on what to do here with small children and maybe we'll see each other again at the beach next weekend.
Back in the apartment, we ate a small bread and took a little two-hour nap together :)
After that, we followed the tip of a salesperson at Toys R Us (we're open to anything) and took a small walk through the house and grounds to the hotel THE RITZ CARLTON. Wow! Who would have expected it? A fancy shack! :) We had a drink by the pool - Frederik's cold cocoa was even a present from the hotel.
Then it was time for a change: off to the spare ribs dinner!
For me, this was a new experience, as I used to be disgusted by food that you have to chew or nibble on bones with your fingers. But today seemed like a good day to overcome this fear and have new experiences. And I have to say - Delicious!!!! With smeared fingers, a sticky face up to the ears, and the feeling of ten greasy bricks in my stomach, I was quite satisfied to have had this experience! :) Probably less so for my scale ;)
So, now we need a nap to digest - Good night :)
