I finally have the time to calmly write a post. After Easter, I went to Barcelona and then back home for a few days, but of course, I had to go back to Madrid. It was nice that an old friend happened to be on vacation in Madrid for a few days, so we had to meet up and catch up on the news.
After about a week in my current Spanish home, I flew to Lisbon with friends for a long weekend. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side and it rained a lot. Despite that, Lisbon is a very beautiful city with a lot to offer - beaches, culture, and nature. However, for me, it is not the "most beautiful city in Europe," as it is often said, but of course, that is a matter of taste. Especially the extremely hilly landscape and the many slopes are probably more suitable for very athletic people. :-)
We stayed in an Airbnb there, which was admittedly VERY Mediterranean (no heating, very damp, moldy air, old), but that too is an experience worth having. All in all, we had a nice and fun weekend with some sangria. By the way, that was my fifth flight within three weeks, maybe I will finally overcome my fear of flying.
Back in Madrid, I naturally went back to university and as the exams are getting closer, the stress of studying is slowly starting to kick in. The lecture notes are calling!
