Day 14 Flaming Gorge - Titon NP

Gepubliseer: 08.07.2016

Morning hour has gold in its mouth and often brings other surprises.

Since we arrived late at the campsite the night before and could only connect our camper to power, water, and wastewater in the dark, Mäge fatally overlooked that there were two different pipes for disposing of the toilet wastewater.

When he opened the slide in the early morning sunshine, he suddenly noticed that something was wrong. The wastewater hose detached from the pipe and our wastewater started to make its way under the neighbor's camper. The neighbor did not become Mäge's friend! The caretaker later explained to us with a knowing grin that the pipe was only intended for draining rainwater from the roof. Since it smelled a little bad at this campsite, we quickly moved on....

We had another long way ahead of us. From the Utah mountains, we passed through Colorado to Wyoming. We crossed an endless high plain and approached the mountains of Titon National Park, which are part of the Rocky Mountains. We made a stop in Jackson and visited a Mexican restaurant.

After that, we headed towards Yellowstone. To our delight, we were able to admire the first buffalo herd during the journey and also saw some cowboys on their horses. We spent the night at Snake River.
