Today -once again?- brought the proof that you don't necessarily save altitude meters along the coast! The first section (even consistently!) signposted, which saved us a bigger detour. But in return, there were constantly hills to ride, a long stretch of gravel, and the typical unpaved Swedish roads, which are mostly well compacted and don't have much loose gravel, but unfortunately also have potholes on remote sections.
The hills and the unpaved sections accompanied us all day, mostly paired with oppressive heat. That takes a lot of energy! Additionally, we have now arrived in the land of a thousand lakes, which means that we have to cycle around some of them.
In Gunnebo, we found a kind of hostel, a "vandrarhem", where we were offered a simple apartment with toilet/shower and kitchen. So once again, we sleep under a roof and treat ourselves to a pizza on the outskirts of town.
