Hello,
After the long hike the day before, today was supposed to be a quieter day. Surprisingly, I had hardly any sore muscles, but I didn't want to walk that much again. So in the morning, I explored Vancouver Downtown a bit and enjoyed the sun at the harbor. For lunch, I had sushi, which is much cheaper and delicious compared to Germany. So this morning, nothing really interesting happened :-)
In the afternoon, we set off again with almost the same group as yesterday. This time, we wanted to watch the sunset from a mountain. We had heard that you can have a nice view of Vancouver from the nearby Mt. Seymour. However, we were told that we could drive all the way up by car and watch the sunset from there. So of course, we only arrived there with sneakers and ended up having to climb the steep mountain for another 45 minutes. And the whole time we were asking ourselves: How are we going to get down again after sunset? :-D
After some difficulties finding the right way, we luckily arrived up there just in time. And the sunset was breathtaking. I would even say that it was the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. You had such a wide view over Vancouver and the whole sky was colored red and orange. And at the same time, the moon was visible exactly opposite to it.
On the way back, we had to hurry a bit because it was getting dark quickly. But luckily, we were not the only ones walking down towards the parking lot. After that, we went back to the hostel where I had to pack all my stuff because I will be traveling again the next day.
