Our second week in Melbourne is now over. We took another look at the city center and visited Ross and his family at home again before saying goodbye. Other than that, we spent a lot of time relaxing in the park. The beach in St. Kilda is not necessarily the most beautiful, and the water does not necessarily invite us to go swimming, even with temperatures over 40 degrees. However, the sunset is very beautiful. We waited for the little penguins after sunset. They come ashore in the darkness, quite cute. Unfortunately, you cannot take good photos because you are not allowed to use flash. Before leaving Melbourne, Padi fixed Jenny's car, which had a rear-end collision last week. It was nice for Padi to be able to work again, even if he only had a piece of wood and a hammer, it worked. At least no more water runs into the trunk. We cooked rather rarely this week, we preferred the gluten-free take-away food.
We are now looking forward to picking up our campervan tomorrow. We are a bit sad to say goodbye to our last Australian friends (Ross & family), we will leave the country in 21 days. However, we are also looking forward to going home again.
