20.7.19 12:30 pm Departure from Lund
Mileage: 6497
Outside temperature: 26°C, sunny
After waking up, we walked to the university town of Lund at 8:30 am. The old town consists of many beautiful brick buildings in Nordic style. The university is the oldest in Sweden and is spread across many buildings throughout the city. We made our first stop in the park in front of the main university building and had a small snack of fruit. Then we visited Lund Cathedral with its astronomical clock. Overall, there were few Swedes with us on this Saturday morning.
For lunch, we returned to the camper. We decided to stop by Subway, so Finn had his first "Kids Menu" ever. 80 Kronor (8€) for a small baguette with ham, tomato, and cucumber, plus a drink and an apple, were a proud price, but it tasted good.
Refreshed, we hit the road again with the camper. We reached the parking lot at Skrylle National Park at 12:30 pm and took a nap in the camper at 30°C. After that, we went on a 3km hike through the forest. This time, there were not many mosquitoes. Afterwards, Finn got to play on the playground until dinner. Overall, it was a very warm day with lots of sunshine, so we went to bed early. Mom was attacked by an earwig in bed, but thankfully she emerged victorious from the battle.
