Between Port Augusta and Alice Springs (the middle of the Outback) there is not much, and since we decided to visit two friends in Alice Springs, who unfortunately will be flying further on Sunday, we have postponed the Flinders Ranges somewhat to our way back. We are driving the same route back anyway, so it doesn't matter. On the way to Coober Pedy (halfway to Alice Springs) we really didn't think that there would be so much nothingness along the way. It was already completely normal to drive 300 km without seeing a shop, gas station, village or even a tree. Today we drove from Port Augusta to Coober Pedy, approximately 550 km. The further we go into the middle, the warmer it gets, and we noticed that today as well. However, the evenings and nights are still quite cool at the moment.
