Today we are going to Manuel Antonio National Park. We booked the tickets for 8 o'clock, but a look out the window at 7 doesn't look promising. And indeed, for the first time in all this time, the weather doesn't want to cooperate. It's drizzling, pouring, dripping, drizzling again. In short, the rain doesn't stop. We walk the first 2km of the main path in moderate rain, and when we arrive at the cafeteria, it's pouring. Sebastian whines and is silenced with chocolate cake and a phone, and then we wait. But it doesn't get better. There's only one thing to do: go swimming in the rain. We're wet anyway 😁. The beach is really nice, with waves that are actually suitable for children for once, so we simply swim and dig for a few hours. By 13.30, we're thoroughly soaked at the exit. Unfortunately, we hardly saw any animals except for crabs and a sleeping sloth, but as soon as we're in the car, the monkeys are already hanging from the power line again. Maybe they just don't feel like tourists 😂
Since we have now seen everything there is to see in Quepos and Quepos is really not nice (not at all), we decide to break camp one day early and continue to Playa Hermosa tomorrow morning. But before that, there's plenty of pizza and an Oreo cheesecake ;)
