Le Grand Beach and Great Ocean Drive

The weather forecast didn't promise anything good for today, and when we wake up, the rain has already sprinkled our bedding through the mosquito net. That's why we decided to have a laundry day. However, finding a laundromat turns out to be more difficult than expected. And then the supermarket is closed too. Something we've never experienced here before...

However, the weather turns out better than expected. We enjoy that while driving from Cape Le Grand along Le Grand Beach to Wiley Bay. Apart from it being at least 30 km shorter, it's also really fun to drive right along the beach. Although in some places with soft sand, it feels more like swimming. And you constantly have the turquoise waters and islands of the nearby Recherche Archipelago in sight. Driving like this is so much fun!

After the work is done (laundry), we drive along the "Great Ocean Drive." It's a road that runs along the coast through Esperance and offers breathtaking views of this enchanting stretch of coast. Of course, we have to try out our freshly washed bathing suits there too!
