New Year's Eve. Before entering a new and exciting year, there are some tours in Singapore. In the Flower Dome, we discovered all kinds of colorful flowers, green trees, exotic plants, and curious animals from all over the world. Right in the building next door is the Cloud Forest. Here, too, we encountered special flora, but grown in height. And even surrounded by a waterfall. But at only 18 degrees, that was quite a cool experience.
After that, it was time for lunch. Preferably indoors, because it was pouring down. In one of the many hawker centers in the city, we treated ourselves to various Asian delicacies. Now, a typical drink - Singapore Sling. And the best place to have it is at its place of origin. So, we headed to the Long Bar at Raffles Hotel. While enjoying peanuts, we had a very good, but probably the most expensive cocktail of our lives. By the way, in this bar, the peanut shells are thrown on the floor. Quite crazy, considering that Singapore is the cleanest city in the world. Finally, the rain had stopped. During a walk through Chinatown, we found some useful little things. It was slowly getting dark outside. Perfect for a stroll through the Gardens by the Bay to admire the light show of the Supertrees.
Almost midnight. With our ship, we probably had the best view of the New Year's Eve fireworks in Singapore. We enjoyed it with a glass of champagne. Happy New Year.
