Well, now we have a problem. Yesterday evening, Klaus sent a WhatsApp message: All ferries to Europe have been suspended. This morning, there was already a lot of chatter at the campsite. All in French, but I understood Corona. For us, it's not a big problem because we have time and don't necessarily have to drive back through Portugal. But for others, it's probably really annoying. It's crazy how quickly the world turns upside down. It's a sign of how fast things can change, that nothing is normal. Otherwise, you don't notice much of it here. Today, we only drove a short distance behind Ifrane to a cedar forest by a non-water-filled lake. The next crazy thing, today I received pictures via WhatsApp of flooding on the bike path, here hardly any lakes or rivers are filled. But as soon as even a hint of moisture is noticeable, you can see some plants timidly coming through. Nature, always a phenomenon. Today, I had the feeling of being in Germany. Azrou and Ifrane are very atypical for Morocco. Completely decked out little towns. The stark contrast to the nomad settlements in the Atlas Mountains yesterday. The weather today is rather cloudy, with occasional rain. Tomorrow we're going to Fes, so mentally preparing for chaos.
