Sat at the table for dinner with 2 hikers last night and enjoyed some company once again. Good stuff.
After 2 km on the road, this morning started with a climb through dense old coniferous forest, often with huge root systems. The forest soon ended and I looked out over a wide field of dwarf pines, which inhabited the scree slope below the rock walls. After another short passage through the forest, the trail followed a wide switchback along the left slope. Slowly but steadily uphill, I eventually passed the unmanned Malga Moschesin. Time for a little break. I always drink too little anyway. Behind the alpine hut, the trail ascended again through sparse forest. It reminded me of a fairy tale forest. It was so wonderfully quiet, and the ground was balm for my feet. I arrived at today's stage destination early. The Pramperet Refuge. I'm a bit annoyed by these short stages at the moment. But I also don't know how I could have combined them, as one hut canceled on me.
The lack of water is becoming quite severe at the moment. Showering or washing is not allowed.
