The Last Mission - Lefkada

A few days ago, I booked the ferry from Igoumenitsa to Brindisi for today, Saturday, May 25th. This is the shortest sea ferry connection between Greece and Italy. The ferry operates every day, but only at night, and only on Saturdays does one start at 12 o'clock. I chose this ferry because Kiran is only allowed on the outside deck, and this was probably the best solution for both of us (separate report on our crossing :) ).

My last mission in Greece took me near the Lefkada peninsula. Isa's (a very good friend) parents, Sofie and Theo, were also in the country for four weeks, and we narrowly missed each other a few times. But on Thursday evening, it finally happened - we met at a campsite near Lefkas.

The journey from Pennepoles to there was beautiful, like every day. In Patras, we crossed this great bridge, which cost us €20.30. Everywhere else, I paid the normal car toll; only on this bridge was I considered a larger vehicle. Okay...

In the evening, the three of us had dinner together, and on Friday, Kiran and I went to the Lefkada peninsula. See for yourself what incredible beauty. The Porto Katsiki with its round white pebbles and incredible sea colors and wave sounds was insane. My last day in Greece, like every other day, was a highlight, and being able to discover this beauty was a true gift!
